Ask customers for reviews
Set your review link and ask your customers for a review by email, text or QR code.
VDM can ask your customers for a review for you, by email, by text or with a QR code. You set it up once in Leads.
Set your review link
- Open Leads and press Reviews at the top.
- Find your Google link: search your business name on Google, tap "Ask for reviews" (or "Get more reviews"), and copy the link. Yelp and Facebook links work too.
- Paste it in Your review link.
- Leave Ask new customers automatically ticked if you want VDM to ask for you.
- Press Save. Test my link opens it so you can check it.
How automatic asking works
When you mark a lead as Customer and they have an email, they get a "How did we do?" email about 2 hours later, only once.
Ask one customer now
- In Leads, open the customer's card.
- In Review, press Email it now, Send by text (opens your phone), or Copy message.
The box shows when they were asked and if they opened the link.
Ask by text
Some plans include review texts. In Reviews, press Get my texting number. VDM registers your business with the phone companies and emails you the number, so it takes some days. After that, customers with a phone get the request by text, only between 9 am and 8 pm. A lead marked Customer shows Text it now.
Make a review QR code
In Reviews, once your link is saved, press Print sign for a page to put on your counter, or Download image.
Good to know:
- Everyone is asked the same way. Google does not allow asking only happy customers, or giving rewards for reviews.
- "Add your review link first" means you need to save your link in Reviews.
- "This customer has no email. Copy the text message instead." means you should use Send by text or Copy message.
