Turn on two step sign in
Add a 6 digit code to your sign in, save your backup codes, and sign out of other devices.
Two step sign in keeps your account safer. After your password, the app also asks for a 6 digit code.
Turn it on
- Open Settings in the menu on the left. Find the card Sign in security.
- We recommend an authenticator app, like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password. Press Turn on with an authenticator app (recommended) and scan the square code with that app.
- If you prefer the easiest way, press Use email codes instead. We send the code to your email.
- Type the 6 numbers and press Turn it on.
- Save your 10 backup codes. Press Download them and keep the file somewhere safe.
Signing in after that
- After your password, the sign in page asks for a 6 digit code.
- Tick "Trust this device for 30 days" to skip the code on that device.
- Lost your phone, or can't open your email? Type a backup code instead of the code. Each backup code works once.
- No backup codes left? Ask Visi to create a request for the VDM team.
Sign out everywhere else
The Sign in security card shows where you are signed in. Press Sign out everywhere else to sign out of every other phone and computer.
If something looks wrong
We email you when someone signs in from a new device, and when many wrong passwords are tried on your account. If it was not you:
- Change your password. Read Change your password.
- Turn on two step sign in.
- Press Sign out everywhere else.
