Getting paid
Take card payments with your own Stripe account, and know the other ways your customers can pay you.
Your customers pay you, not VDM. Card payments go through your business's own Stripe account, and the money goes straight to your bank.
Turn on card payments
- Open Website Studio and find the Store card.
- Press Start selling.
- Stripe's own guided setup opens, in English or Spanish.
- Sign up with Stripe and connect your bank. You do this yourself, so the account is always yours. Visi never makes the Stripe account for you.
- When you finish, customers can pay by card on your website.
How the money works
- Money goes from Stripe straight to your bank. VDM never holds it.
- Stripe charges its own fees to your business.
- Refunds, disputes and account holds are between your business and Stripe.
- VDM takes nothing from your sales.
Other ways to get paid
- Without Stripe, or if Stripe stops, orders still come in. Your customers pay at pickup or on delivery. This happens by itself.
- You can also send a customer a payment link with the ways you accept, like PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Square, Zelle or cash. See Payment links.
Good to know:
- Never send your card number, bank number or passwords in the Visi chat.
- To set up your products first, see Set up your store.
