Set up your business the first time

Answer a few short questions so VDM knows your business, then use the "Your first week" card on Home.

The first time you open the app, a short setup helps VDM get to know your business. It only takes a few minutes.

Answer the setup questions

1. Open the app. A card says "Welcome! Let's set up your business".
2. Type your business name, what you do in one line, your city, and the language your customers speak. Press Next.
3. "Do you have a website?" Pick Yes and type the address, or pick No, not yet. Press Next.
4. "Do you have a logo?" Pick Yes, I have one or No, not yet. Press Next.
5. "Your social media": for each network, pick I have it, I don't have it or Not for me. Accounts you already connected say Connected. Press Next.
6. "What do you want help with right now?" Pick one or more: Get more customers, Get more calls and bookings, Be found on Google, or Stay visible on social media.
7. Press Make my plan.

Your answers are saved in your Brand Kit.

Use the "Your first week" card

After setup, Home shows a card called "Your first week" with up to 5 steps. They can include connecting the accounts you have, setting up the ones you don't have yet, making your logo, and steps for your goal.

1. Find the card on Home.
2. Press Do it on a step. The right screen opens.
3. If you already did a step, press Already done.
4. When you no longer need the card, press Hide.

Good to know:

• Steps tick themselves off when the app sees they are done.
• If you pressed Skip for now, the questions do not come back. You can fill in your details in your Brand Kit instead.
• Team members never see this setup. It is only for the owner.
• Picking I don't have it for a network shows Social Setup. Read Set up a social account you don't have yet.

• After setup, a short guided tour walks you through the menu, one stop at a time. Skip the tour ends it. To see it again, open Settings and press Show me around again.
• No internet? On a phone or computer where you already used VDM, the app still opens and shows your leads, appointments and posts as they were last saved on that device, with a yellow bar saying when. Changes wait until you are back online: nothing is changed while offline. Signing out wipes the saved copy.
