Put Visible Digital Media on your computer and phone
Our app runs in your browser, and you can install it like any other app: its own icon, its own window, open in one tap. No app store, no file to download, nothing extra to pay. It takes less than a minute.
Visible Digital Media is a web app today, so you install it straight from your browser. We are working on versions for the App Store and Google Play. When they are ready, you keep the same account, posts and settings, with nothing to set up again. Until then, the steps below give you the same app on every device.
Computer · Windows or Mac
Use Chrome or Microsoft Edge. They have an install button built in.
- Open visibledigitalmedia.com/app and sign in.
- Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar (a small screen with a down arrow). You can also open your name at the bottom of the menu on the left and choose Install the app.
- Click Install. The app opens in its own window.
- From now on, open it from the Start menu on Windows or the Dock and Launchpad on a Mac. Right click the icon to pin it to your taskbar or keep it in the Dock.
Mac with Safari: open the app, then in the menu bar choose File, then Add to Dock.
Firefox does not install web apps. Open the link in Chrome or Edge, or save it as a bookmark.
iPhone and iPad · Safari
Apple does not let websites show an install button, so on iPhone and iPad you do it by hand once. It takes four taps.
- Open Safari and go to visibledigitalmedia.com/app. Sign in.
- Tap Share, the square with the arrow pointing up. On iPhone it is at the bottom of the screen, on iPad at the top.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. The Visible Digital Media icon is now on your home screen. Open it from there every time.
If you do not see Add to Home Screen, scroll to the bottom of the Share menu, tap Edit Actions and add it.
On recent versions of iOS, Chrome can do it too: tap Share in the address bar, then Add to Home Screen. Safari is the surest way.
Android · Chrome
Android phones and tablets install the app in two taps.
- Open Chrome and go to visibledigitalmedia.com/app. Sign in.
- Tap Install when Chrome offers it. If it does not, tap the menu with the three dots and choose Install app or Add to Home screen. You can also use Install the app in your account menu inside the app.
- Confirm with Install. The icon appears on your home screen and with your other apps.
Samsung Internet works too: tap the menu, then Add page to, then Home screen.
What you get
Opens in one tap from your desk or home screen, with no browser tabs in the way.
There is nothing to update. Every time you open it, you have the newest version.
Approve a post on your phone and it is already done on your computer. Visi is the same on every device.
Questions
Does it cost anything extra?
No. Installing the app is included in every plan.
Does it take space on my phone?
Very little. Nothing large is downloaded. Your work is saved in your account, not on the device.
What if my internet drops?
The app shows a clear "No internet right now" screen with a Try again button. Nothing you already saved is lost.
I do not see the install option.
Check the browser: Chrome or Edge on a computer, Safari on iPhone and iPad, Chrome on Android. If the app is already installed on that device, the option disappears. Still stuck? Ask Visi inside the app and she walks you through it.
How do I remove it?
On a computer, open the app, click the menu at the top of its window and choose Uninstall. On iPhone, iPad or Android, press and hold the icon and choose Remove or Uninstall. Removing the icon does not delete your account or your work.
Will there be a real App Store app?
Yes, it is on our plan. When it is out, you sign in with the same account and everything is there.

- Abre visibledigitalmedia.com/app e inicia sesión.
- Haz clic en el ícono de instalar al final de la barra de dirección (una pantallita con una flecha hacia abajo). También puedes abrir tu nombre abajo en el menú de la izquierda y elegir Instalar la app.
- Haz clic en Instalar. La app se abre en su propia ventana.
- Desde ahora, ábrela desde el menú Inicio en Windows o desde el Dock y el Launchpad en Mac. Haz clic derecho en el ícono para fijarlo en la barra de tareas o dejarlo en el Dock.
Mac con Safari: abre la app y en la barra de menú elige Archivo y luego Agregar al Dock.
Firefox no instala apps web. Abre el enlace en Chrome o Edge, o guárdalo como marcador.
iPhone y iPad · Safari
Apple no deja que los sitios web muestren un botón de instalar, así que en iPhone y iPad lo haces a mano una sola vez. Son cuatro toques.
- Abre Safari y entra a visibledigitalmedia.com/app. Inicia sesión.
- Toca Compartir, el cuadro con la flecha hacia arriba. En iPhone está abajo en la pantalla y en iPad, arriba.
- Desliza hacia abajo y toca Agregar a pantalla de inicio.
- Toca Agregar. El ícono de Visible Digital Media ya está en tu pantalla de inicio. Ábrela desde ahí siempre.
Si no ves Agregar a pantalla de inicio, baja hasta el final del menú Compartir, toca Editar acciones y agrégala.
En las versiones recientes de iOS, Chrome también lo hace: toca Compartir en la barra de dirección y luego Agregar a pantalla de inicio. Safari es lo más seguro.
Android · Chrome
Los teléfonos y tabletas Android instalan la app en dos toques.
- Abre Chrome y entra a visibledigitalmedia.com/app. Inicia sesión.
- Toca Instalar cuando Chrome te lo ofrezca. Si no aparece, toca el menú de los tres puntos y elige Instalar app o Agregar a la pantalla principal. También puedes usar Instalar la app en el menú de tu cuenta dentro de la app.
- Confirma con Instalar. El ícono aparece en tu pantalla principal y con tus otras apps.
Samsung Internet también funciona: toca el menú, luego Añadir página a y después Pantalla de inicio.
Lo que obtienes
Se abre en un toque desde tu escritorio o tu pantalla de inicio, sin pestañas del navegador en medio.
No hay nada que actualizar. Cada vez que la abres, tienes la versión más nueva.
Aprueba una publicación en el teléfono y ya está hecha en la computadora. Visi es la misma en todos tus equipos.
Preguntas
¿Cuesta algo extra?
No. Instalar la app viene incluido en todos los planes.
¿Ocupa espacio en mi teléfono?
Muy poco. No se descarga nada grande. Tu trabajo se guarda en tu cuenta, no en el equipo.
¿Qué pasa si se cae el internet?
La app muestra una pantalla clara de "Sin internet por ahora" con un botón para intentar de nuevo. No se pierde nada de lo que ya guardaste.
No veo la opción para instalar.
Revisa el navegador: Chrome o Edge en la computadora, Safari en iPhone y iPad, Chrome en Android. Si la app ya está instalada en ese equipo, la opción desaparece. ¿Sigues sin poder? Pregúntale a Visi dentro de la app y ella te guía paso a paso.
¿Cómo la quito?
En la computadora, abre la app, haz clic en el menú de arriba de su ventana y elige Desinstalar. En iPhone, iPad o Android, mantén presionado el ícono y elige Eliminar o Desinstalar. Quitar el ícono no borra tu cuenta ni tu trabajo.
¿Habrá una app de verdad en la App Store?
Sí, está en nuestro plan. Cuando salga, entras con la misma cuenta y todo estará ahí.
