Make short videos
Turn your own photos into short videos and send them to TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts.
You can turn your own photos into short videos and post them on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Upload the photos you want to use to Media Library. See Upload and use photos and videos.
- In Media Library, open Short video. You can also press Short video on the Create screen.
- Make your video from your photos. Pick a Shape: Tall 9:16 for Reels, TikTok, Shorts and Stories, Feed 4:5 for the Instagram and Facebook feed, or Square 1:1 for Facebook, LinkedIn and X. Then save it. It is kept in Media Library.
- Start a post with it. Press Use in a post, or in the editor press Choose from library under "Photo or video".
- Under Channels, turn on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, or the ones you want.
- Press Save, then Approve & publish.
Where your video goes
- Instagram: videos go out as Reels.
- YouTube: takes videos only. A vertical video up to 3 minutes is marked #Shorts.
- TikTok: when you approve, you choose the account, Who can see this post and Allow comments. Videos also show Allow Duet and Allow Stitch. Nothing is picked for you.
- On the Create screen, TikTok and YouTube start switched off, because they take only videos.
- Google Business does not take videos.
Good to know
- Short videos from your photos are an add on in Plan & Billing. Saving a video uses one video from it, and the videos never expire.
- Your brand colors from Brand Kit are used on short videos.
- Phone style makes it look filmed on a phone: captions like the apps make, no logo on the photos, a hand held sway. It is chosen for you with Premium's phone video script.
- With Premium, try a different opening on each post. VDM counts the visits and leads each one brings. When one kind of opening (a question, a number or a promise) wins, Visi writes the next hook that way and tells you.
- Camera move chooses how your moving photos move, for example Slow push in or Camera still.
- If the voice says your business name wrong, write it the way it sounds in How to say your business name. The words on the video keep the real spelling.
- You can also download a video instead of posting it.
- Approving a TikTok post means you agree to TikTok's Music Usage Confirmation.
- A TikTok post may take a few minutes to show on your profile.
